Started out the day woth a yummy bagel breakfast, went to church Myleigh's powerful speech at church today in honor of Mother's Day serves as a poignant reminder of the immense blessings I've received as a mother to such extraordinary kids. She delivered an outstanding performance, paying tribute to mothers and the remarkable individuals who have made a profound impact on her life.
Then I got my presents, a song, candy, flowers with one rose in it for Kenzie.
Braxton made this song for me and had the girls help with it.
This Mother’s Day, my heart felt full in a different way.
After losing Makenzie, this day carries both love and longing. But my incredible kids gave me the most meaningful gift—a song they made, filled with memories of our family, of Makenzie, and of all the love we share. It didn’t cost a thing, yet it meant everything.
They reminded me that being their mom is the greatest gift of all. Their thoughtfulness, their hearts, and the way they carry their sister’s memory with them... I couldn’t ask for more beautiful souls to call my own.

The song Braxton wrote
I know I don’t always say it right, And sometimes I shut down, stay quiet at night. But there’s never been a day I didn’t need you close— Even when I acted like I didn’t, you still held me the most. You saw the tears I didn’t cry out loud, You carried all our pain, still standing proud. Through every storm, through every fight, You never let go—even when nothing felt right. And I just want to thank you, for every time you stayed, For loving through the silence, through every shade of gray. When the world felt broken, and we didn’t know what to do— You were still the one holding us all… The way only you do. Losing Makenzie hit like a wave I didn’t see, But I know it crashed hardest inside of you, not me. I watched you fall apart, but still hold us up somehow, I don’t know how you did it—how you do it even now. Some nights I hear her name in your prayers, In the way you breathe, in the way you care. And I know your heart still walks with her each day, I see it in your eyes—she’s never far away. So thank you for the love you still give through the ache, For teaching me to bend but never break. You’re the strongest person I’ve ever known… You’ve always been my heart— You’ve always been my home. And if I ever become half of what you are, I’ll be someone kind, someone brave, someone who carries scars… With love, like you. Because everything good in me… Came from you.
