Young womens camp

I had the opportunity to go to Young Women’s camp this year—not as a leader, but to help support the leaders. Myleigh and Makayla, my daughters, went since they’re in Young Women’s, and Tyler also came along. It’s been such a wonderful experience getting to know some of the youth in our ward that I didn’t really know before, and connecting with leaders I hadn’t gotten to know very well either.

One of my favorite parts was watching how well the girls got along, despite the age differences. The older girls were so sweet and inclusive with the younger ones—it was beautiful to see that kind of kindness and unity.

Kayla was a beast on the water tube! It was her first time, but she loved it—even when she fell off multiple times. We had such a fun day at Bear Lake. I even went on the tube with Myleigh, Makayla, and Tyler since it held four people. It was a blast riding together and making memories.

Today, we did a faith walk. There were three “tempters” and two “guides” to help the girls stay on the iron rod. I knew a few of the girls would get pulled away because they’re just such sweethearts—they wanted to help the ones who were tempting them. I loved being one of the guides who helped bring them back to the iron rod, reminding them of the path back to our Heavenly Father.

Later, we had a testimony meeting. These girls shared such sweet and sincere testimonies. I pray they hold onto that faith and strength throughout their lives. It truly touched my heart.

Dance end of the year ceremony

Last night was the end-of-the-year dance awards ceremony, and I couldn't be more proud of these three amazing girls right here. From the very beginning, they showed up as their true, authentic selves. They carry integrity with them wherever they go, make friends easily, and let their beautiful personalities shine through in all they do.

Each of them has blossomed into such talented dancers and performers, and I can’t wait to see what next year brings!

✨ Paetyn received the Mini Monster Ultimate Award for her jazz team—full of sass and spirit!

✨ Makayla’s team won Team of the Year in cheer!

✨ Myleigh earned the Pound the Alarm Ultimate Award, and the Cheer Excellence Award!

All three girls received several smaller awards, including recognition for the number of dances they participated in. A special shoutout to Makayla and Myleigh, who both served as captains of their cheer teams this year—leading with heart and confidence.

So proud of you, girls! Keep dancing, keep shining, and keep being you. 💃💖👏

Makayla Oakcrest June 9th

Just dropped Kayla off at Oakcrest, our church youth camp, for the week! She was pretty hesitant about going, but I have a feeling she’s going to have an amazing time—especially since she’s bunking with her friend Alison. I’m going to miss having her around this week, but I know she’s going to have a blast. I can’t wait to hear all about it when she gets back, and I’m fully prepared for weeks of camp songs echoing through the house afterward! 😄

One of the sweetest moments this morning was Myleigh secretly tucking letters into Kayla’s bag—one for each day. Sometimes that tender heart of hers slips out when you least expect it, and it always melts mine. 💕
