End of school 2024/2025

End of an era for Makayla—saying goodbye to 6th grade. My heart broke for a moment, but then I realized how lucky I am to watch her grow. What a gift it is to witness her becoming who she’s meant to be. #homeschool #hybrid #canyongroveacademy

It’s Official—School’s Out for the Summer! ☀️

Another school year has come to a close, and with it comes a chance to reflect on the incredible growth and milestones our kids have achieved. It’s never easy without Kenzie, but we find comfort in honoring the legacy she left behind—the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the way she continues to inspire us every single day. We will always cherish her memory and remain so proud of everything she accomplished.

As for this year:

🌟 Braxton wrapped up 11th grade strong! He took some college classes, played basketball, and even gave soccer a try. He built great friendships and made the most of his time with them.

🎭 Myleigh thrived at Paradigm. She loved the social atmosphere, was thrilled to be in a play, joined the Dance Academy, and enjoyed every moment spent with friends at The District.

📚 Makayla finished 6th grade through homeschooling. She loved making new friends at Canyon Grove, going on field trips, and learning in new, exciting ways.

📖 Paetyn had a wonderful preschool year with the Upstart program and our own curriculum. She’s starting to read, which has been such a fun and rewarding journey to witness!

School’s out, summer’s in!

Goodbye alarms, hello adventures.

We’re ready for sunshine, late nights, and memories that will last all year.

Let the summer magic begin!

Dance 2024/2025

 Last Time, Best Time.

What an incredible season it’s been watching these three girls dance their hearts out! They brought the sass, the fierceness, and the fun every step of the way. From team practices to the big stage, they made amazing memories with their teammates and coaches.

Nationals did not disappoint! All three girls earned High Gold 1st Place in all five of their dances—what!! We are beyond proud of their hard work, dedication, and passion. They truly gave it their all.

It was a marathon of a day at Lagoon—from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.—but it was full of fun, excitement, and unforgettable moments. A fantastic (and exhausting!) way to end the season.

Special shoutout to Myleigh’s team—their Hip Hop Graffiti dance placed Top 16 out of 78 Intermediate teams! Huge accomplishment!

What a season. What a team. What a memory. Can't wait until next season. Go DIA

Mothers day 2025

Started out the day woth a yummy bagel breakfast, went to church Myleigh's powerful speech at church today in honor of Mother's Day serves as a poignant reminder of the immense blessings I've received as a mother to such extraordinary kids. She delivered an outstanding performance, paying tribute to mothers and the remarkable individuals who have made a profound impact on her life.

Then I got my presents, a song, candy, flowers with one rose in it for Kenzie.

Braxton made this song for me and had the girls help with it.

This Mother’s Day, my heart felt full in a different way.

After losing Makenzie, this day carries both love and longing. But my incredible kids gave me the most meaningful gift—a song they made, filled with memories of our family, of Makenzie, and of all the love we share. It didn’t cost a thing, yet it meant everything.

They reminded me that being their mom is the greatest gift of all. Their thoughtfulness, their hearts, and the way they carry their sister’s memory with them... I couldn’t ask for more beautiful souls to call my own.

The song Braxton wrote

I know I don’t always say it right, And sometimes I shut down, stay quiet at night. But there’s never been a day I didn’t need you close— Even when I acted like I didn’t, you still held me the most. You saw the tears I didn’t cry out loud, You carried all our pain, still standing proud. Through every storm, through every fight, You never let go—even when nothing felt right. And I just want to thank you, for every time you stayed, For loving through the silence, through every shade of gray. When the world felt broken, and we didn’t know what to do— You were still the one holding us all… The way only you do. Losing Makenzie hit like a wave I didn’t see, But I know it crashed hardest inside of you, not me. I watched you fall apart, but still hold us up somehow, I don’t know how you did it—how you do it even now. Some nights I hear her name in your prayers, In the way you breathe, in the way you care. And I know your heart still walks with her each day, I see it in your eyes—she’s never far away. So thank you for the love you still give through the ache, For teaching me to bend but never break. You’re the strongest person I’ve ever known… You’ve always been my heart— You’ve always been my home. And if I ever become half of what you are, I’ll be someone kind, someone brave, someone who carries scars… With love, like you. Because everything good in me… Came from you.

Myleigh Dance Academy school

 7th grade Paradigm High

So proud of Myleigh! She absolutely shined at her school dance showcase! This girl is a natural on stage—graceful, confident, and full of joy. Not only did she perform beautifully in her group dances with Dance Academy, but she also danced in a duet and a foursome that she and her friends choreographed themselves! Their creativity, teamwork, and passion truly lit up the stage.

What made the night even more meaningful was the amazing support around her—her grandma, her neighborhood friend, and of course her proud family: mom, dad, brother, and sisters. She danced her heart out, surrounded by love.

This is her first year in public school, and she has embraced it with courage, determination, and such a bright spirit. Nothing can stop her. Keep dancing, Myleigh—the world is your stage!

Braxton's First Soccer Season – A Huge Success!

What an incredible season for Braxton and his high school team, Paradigm High! In their very first year playing together, this 2A team made it all the way to the state championship game and brought home 2nd place—an amazing accomplishment!

Braxton, in his first year ever playing soccer he played defense and showed incredible drive and talent he played one of the starters every game. He scored 2 goals, made key defensive stops, and proved to be a beast on the field with incredible speed. One of the best parts? He got to share this season with his childhood friend Ryan, who he's grown up with in the neighborhood.

This team came together with heart, determination, and teamwork. In the championship, they went head-to-head against an undefeated team and held their own, only losing by 2 points. These boys played their hearts out, and we are so proud of their fight, unity, and growth.

We can’t wait to see what next season brings. Proud parents over here!
