Today Tyler and I had the opportunity to attend the Brigham City Temple Dedication at our stake center so it was on a big screen being aired live. It was our first one ever and it couldn't have come at a better time. We got there a half an hour early and watched a slide show of all the temples that have been built. Did you know that there are 14 LDS Temples in Utah now and 149 LDS temples world wide wow what an amazing and exciting time.
Anyways while I was sitting there I thought about Melissa, Mike and Jessica and how wonderful it is that our faith believes in Eternal families and that one day if I continue to live my life the way the Lord would have me live then I can be reunited with them on the other side. Right now it doesn't make sense or make it easy to understand why but it helps me to know that when life on earth is over that there is more work to be done on the other side and my family will see them again. I sure in deed felt there spirit there and know that they are watching over us.
I sure wish I could see them now here in earth. I'm defiantly not ready to go but I wish they didn't have to go at such a young age. It is hard for me to make sense of it all and I could ask the question why but only the Lord knows why and has a plan for all of us. Yes it may sound like I am strong about it all, trust me I'm not I cry at least once a day whether its a tear or a full on cry fest. But I have to look at it that way or I would go crazy and maybe insane and I have kids and a husband that needs me so I can't be selfish and shut down even though there are times I would love too.
I am so thankful for the gospel in my life and for the Atonement of Jesus Christ and that families can be together forever.

Minnie Mom

For being only 6 years old Kenzie is so grown up for her age. I don't know what I would do without her, she has made it so much easier with having three kids and me only having two hands she is defiantly my third hand.
Anyways last night Braxton ended up with a fever and didn't want to take Tylenol and Kenzie being so sweet, the way she was talking to him "sweetie you have to take your medicine it will help you feel better". I just love it. It took some convincing but he finally took it.
This morning at 6:30 Braxton woke up so I took him out to the living room so Tyler could sleep until he had to get ready for work. Kenzie woke up and came in and took over so I could feed Myleigh. She got Braxton a cold pack and some water and tried to convince him to take his medicine again.
She is is so amazing and is going to be an awesome mom when she grows up and I am so excited to see her with her own kids and love them and take care of them like she already does with her own brother and sister.
Thanks for all your help Makenzie and being my right hand girl!

Kenzie Remorse

Kenzie has the sweetest spirit about her last night she didn't want to go to bed so I had her read a book to me that she just started instead. But she was having a hard time concentrating on it because Braxton didn't want to read and she thought it was unfair so they started bugging each other and switching off who was going to read. My plan didn't work to get them to settle down. I have been praying for patience with them at bed time cause it usually ends up in a battle and I get frustrated and yell and occasionally spank if it gets to bad which I really hate doing and is my very last resort if nothing else works.
Braxton went to bed just fine we said our prayers and I stayed in the room while Kenzie was in my room screaming for me, but I knew if I went in there I would get mad so I just let her yell until she came in her room. She was still crying and refusing to go to bed so I carried her to her bed and asked if she wanted to say her prayer, I told her that we already said ours but she could say hers and she started crying even more because we said ours with out her. I told her that she could have joined us but she was throwing a temper tantrum, she asked if I would say another prayer and of course I did then she said hers. Once she was done saying her prayers she busted out crying uncontrollably, I asked her what was wrong and she said she was mean and sorry for being mean I told her she wasn't mean just tired and she kept telling me she was mean, I had to keep reassuring her that she wasn't mean and she doesn't need to apologize she just needed to go to bed so she could get rest and have a good day the following morning.
I think it is so sweet that she understands people's feelings and is aware when she isn't making the right choices whether she is tired or not. It does make me feel bad when she is sorry for what she does even when she isn't being bad. But it is nice to know that she knows right from wrong.

Myleigh is 2 months

Posing for the camera

I can't believe Myleigh is already 2 months were did the time go? We just love having her here and all the love that she brings to her family. She loves to smile and she loves to talk or coo. If you talk to her she will talk right back, some of the time and depending who is talking to her. (She loves her Aunt Jerica and will talk to her). She has mastered holding her head up. And she is trying to roll over.
Here are some pictures of her at 2 months old hope you enjoy the precious pictures of our little bundle of joy as much as we do.

Sweet little feet

And her little hands

This is for all you BYU fans,
Teaching her young what team to root for!

Must have team spirit

She is figuring out her tongue so when I stick my tongue out at her she will stick her tongue right back at me it is so cute, I just can't get enough of her and her precious spirit.
My precious baby

She went to her 2 month check up and she is weighing in at 11.7 lbs her height is 22.8 in and her head is 14.6 in. When she was only 2 weeks old she weighed 7.6 lbs her height was 19.8 in and her head was 13.6 in, so she is growing so big and chunky I love it and I love all the fat rolls she is getting.

Tyler's cousin Rachel took some amazing photo's of Myleigh they turned out so adorable and perfect. I couldn't of asked for better pictures. She truly has talent Thank you Rachel.

Always so happy

Loves the camera

Myleigh blessing

We started the weekend off at the Zoo we went with the hope kids and they did it after hours so the group got the whole Zoo to ourselves. The kids were able to get there face painted and they looked so cute. After we went and saw the animals and the new exhibit was really neat. The kids had so much fun running around looking at all the animals, what a great way to start the weekend/summer off.

Saturday was one of the spiritual days we had this weekend, it was the weekend Neal decided to get rebaptized even though it was short and sweet you could feel the spirit there, before it started there was a big bang of lightning and during the prayer it poured rain like the heavens were opening and tears of Joy of Laurie (Neals mom) was coming down, and then it stopped and the sun shined right back up. Jay (Neal's dad) was able to baptized him again. Neal asked Kenzie, Braxton and Jackson to sing "When I get baptized" but Kenzie was the only one that would so she sang a solo I was pretty excited that she was brave enough to do it by herself.

(You may have to listen closely she sang quietly)

Saturday night we were able to watch Jackson get promoted to a brown belt in karate he has excelled so much and his nun chuck skills are amazing he can maneuver them around so quickly, watch out world. Way to go Jackson keep up the hard work.

Sunday we decided to bless Myleigh also that was the same day Shontel decided to bless Adaly so we went to Shontel's church first and Amorim blessed her. Then we had to get to our church by 11 to make it, so Tyler could bless Myleigh. Tyler did so good being this was his first baby blessing, yes he was nervous but you couldn't tell. I am so thankful that he holds the priesthood now and can preform all the wonderful blessings. We ended the weekend with a nice luncheon with family, can I just say what an amazing weekend we had.

Dentist

Braxton had his first dentist appointment. Yes I know I'm a little late on taking him to the dentist, but I finally got him there and I was worried he would be scared and not want to sit in the chair or open his mouth. He did amazing he sat down in the chair, I had to hold his hand at first but then he sat there like a big boy and opened his mouth, he let them clean his teeth and floss them. Then the dentist came and counted his teeth he has 10 on top and 10 on bottom. He got a goody bag with a buzz tooth brush and tooth paste which he was excited about. The best part was he has no cavities. Way to go Braxton!!!!!!

Time Flies

Today Myleigh is a month old, man it feels like I just had her and came home from the hospital. She has been such a delight to have. What a miracle to be able to have a baby and watch them grow I love every minute of it even when she is grumpy.
She can now hold her head up really well by her self, she loves tummy time she falls asleep when she is on her tummy and can sleep for hours. She has a good grasp on things when she can get a hold of your hair or fingers watch out lol.
I love the fact that she smiles so much now, even in her sleep it is so sweet to just sit and watch her for hours even if she isn't doing anything.

We have a picture of Jesus hanging by our couch and every time Myleigh sees the picture she just grins from ear to ear and if she is crying and looks at it she stops and just stares. It makes me wonder if newborns remember heaven and Jesus and what it is like and if the veil has not yet covered there eyes.

It is amazing what a sweet spirit that enters the house when you have a newborn, I think that is what Heaven is going to be like, not to mention the smell of a new born, that is one of my favorites.
