Christmas 2016

This Christmas is defiantly one to remember! Since Tyler's incident on the mountain, people came together from all over bringing presents, even people we didn't even know. My heart was so full, and my eyes filled up with tears every time we got a knock on the door, and there where piles of presents stacked from our door to the stairs. From food, to gift cards, to clothes, cash, and toys. Our house was Santa's toy shop. We are forever grateful for the love that we were shown through this tough time. We thought our kids were going to go with out a Christmas this year, but the love of others helped brighten our holidays! Next year our goal is to pay it forward, and help some family that is in need during the holiday season.
Merry Christmas to all!!

Makayla potty trained

What a huge milestone for Makayla. She was so ready to be potty trained. It took her about 3 days to get the full hang of it, and she loves being diaper free. She looks so cute in her little undies, she has the cutest tiniest bum ever. WAY TO GO KAYLA!!!

Braxton baptism

I am so proud of Braxton for choosing to get baptized. What a special day for him, so many friends and family showed up! Braxton asked Neal to do a talk on the Holy Ghost. What a wonderful talk it was, Neal even had Braxton participate in the talk. The spirit was there and he was glowing with happiness. Since Tyler's accident on the mountain, Braxton wanted to wait until he was able to walk better so he could baptize him. He didn't want anyone else except his dad.  After the baptism we had a luncheon and it was so wonderful to have so much love and support for him.

Tyler

This year Tyler made plans to go backpacking with Neal and his dad and decided it would be fun for Ashleigh, Jackson and Braxton to go. Since Tyler had that friday off he thought it would be fun to take the kids that day and have some quality time with them, and have his Dad and Neal join up Saturday.
I guess on Friday night Tyler was having pains in his legs and they started to lock up. 29 hrs later, I get a phone call Saturday night from Tanner around 12:30 A.M Stating Tyler got life Flighted off the mountain but he is OK! WHAT!! Nothing is ok when you get life flighted off a mountain. They took him to the IMC hospital and I arrived around 1 A.M. Thanks to Tanner and Katie for coming that late to watch my other kids.
Braxton, Ashleigh and Jackson stayed on the mountain with Neal that night and came home the next afternoon, and Jay stayed with Tyler and went with him on the life flight.
Seeing Tyler in so much pain and not knowing what was going on scared me. He ended up in the ICU and was treated for Rabdomylosis. His Ck levels were at 35000, which normal is in the 100's. To treat the Rabdo they have to flush his kidneys before he goes into kidney failure. A couple of days later his CK levels jumped up to 58000, its going the wrong way so they had to push fluids even more. He had about 3 big iv bags pushing fluids threw him like crazy and he got up to 185 lbs due to water weight thats how much fluid they were pushing threw him to clean his kidneys out. When he got to the hospital his pee looked like the color of coffee, about 3 days in the hospital it finally cleared up and with all that fluid going threw him his levels slowly dropped down.

He got released to the floor and had to relearn to walk. It was quite the task for him he could hardly even move his legs.

They did a little of PT at the hospital and on Braxton's Birthday he got released to a Rehab center.

With lots of hard work, dedication and pain about a week and a half later he was walking.

It was such a roller coaster. Not knowing if he would ever walk again and end up in a wheel chair. We still have no idea what caused this to happen, the only tests they have done was blood test and they came back normal so they want us to follow up with a rheumotologist and an internal medicine Dr.

Release day! Goodbye rehab center
Tyler is so amazing with all that he had and is enduring. I couldn't even imagine going through what he did and I don't really no all the details of what happened on the mountain expect search and rescue had to come ride him off a mountain on a horse. Imagine riding on a horse with your legs locked your feet pointed out and hitting rocks along the way because you cant move your legs or feet. I couldn't.
Thank you all for your love and support for Tyler and our family.

Braxton at 8

My goodness 8 is great. Braxton is turning into a lovely handsome little guy, who has an amazing imagination which I love because now a days not to many kids have that since technology is so advance and every kid has some sort of hand held advice. Since at 8 Braxton will be getting baptized we didn't plan a party and since Tyler was in the hospital due to complications on the mountain back packing, we did it hospital style.

First day of school

Summer went by way to fast we had lots of fun, and it's time to get down to business. Kenzie is in 4th grade this year and Braxton is in 2nd. Where did the time go? We decided to stay with Davinci Academy again this year the kids had so much fun going to school once a week and making new friends. We are sticking with Saxon Math again this year and Braxton is doing All About Reading and All About Spelling he is still having a hard time with reading so Miss Maddie suggested this curriculum for him. Kenzie is doing Spelling U see and Growing with Grammer. I have loved these Curriculum so far because Kenzie is able to do it on her own which makes it less stressful for me and then she feels more dependant.
I hope this school year is fun and they learn a lot and enjoy school.

Makayla at 2

My sweet Kayla is growing up way to fast. I'm not ready for her to become two yet, I'm not sure it's because she might be our last one or not we are still deciding. She completes our family and is so teenie tiny still and I love it. She is a big fan of frozen and loves Olaf. So I decided to make her a frozen cake cake. I couldn't form a Olaf so I had to leave him out. We didn't plan anything big but a few friends decided to join
us.

Rejection, IVIG

Bye, Bye bottle

Since Myleigh was 6 months old I had to stop nursing because I got pregnant with Makayla, so I had to switch her to the lovely bottle. She adored the bottle it was her comforter. She had to have it all the time with milk, it was so sweet to see her with a bottle it reminded me that she was still little and I have a hard time letting go of things. Well the time finally came where I decided it was time for her to really give it up, we've tried but I don't think she was ready and I wasn't ready to let that part of her littleness go. But I started taking her to the dentist and they told me she was getting black little spots on her teeth from the bottle and drinking milk. So that was the big indicator that it was time. I didn't want her to get bad teeth or get silver caps. So this time I allowed her to throw away her bottles and say good bye to them. I thought it was going to be a long tough rode ahead and even worse night time I was dreading. But much to my surprise the first night she did ask for her bottle and I just had to remind her that she threw them away and she was ok with it and came and snuggled me in bed. Ever since then she has done amazing no bottles. There are times were she has asked for one but we just keep reminding her that they got thrown away!! It is a bitter sweet. My baby isn't a baby anymore, she is my little 3 year old going on 16, sassy but sweet. I love her and her sweet tender heart!!

EASTER

This year Easter was on Conference weekend. Yes we do the whole Easter bunny stuff and baskets. I don't want to take the magic out of it for my kids. They are only kids once and the look on their faces is priceless, I don't want to take that away from them. When they are ready to let go then it is their chose. I loved it growing up so I want them to love the magic as well. This year the Easter bunny did a treasure hunt for them to find their baskets they loved it. They got new church clothes and a few toys.
I loved that Easter was on conference weekend, we were able to watch conference and listen to church leaders on this special day!

Time sure does fly fast when you have little one's. I can not believe how old Myleigh is now, I remember bringing her home from the hospital small and sweet with no hair. I love her so much she is such a joy and loves to talk and sing. She makes me laugh everyday, she is one of the most sweetest girsl I no. I have 4 others!!
We just had cake and ice cream and since it was close to Easter I made her a Easter Bunny cake. She loves frozen so Tyler bought her a frozen tea set.

Potty Trained

The day has finally came were Myleigh is potty trained. We had tried before but it never took once in a while she would sit on the potty and go but wanted her "biaper" back on just like Makayla has. So I decided to wait until it was a good time for both of us and I had a chance to stay home a couple of days in a row to actually get the concept down.
It was actually easier than I anticipated she was ready and so was I. The first day she did so good up until I bragged to Tyler that she hadn't had any accidents all morning, then bam she had about 4. But we kept pushing along.
The next day was amazing she woke up with a dry diaper had no accidents all day and loved going potty on the toilet and wearing big girl undies.

Myleigh and Christian date

Myleigh absolutely loves her cousin Christian and cant get enough of him. She wanted to go on a date with him so Tyler went and picked Christian up and the three of them went to the mall and had some cheese fries which they didn't like. Next they rode the carousel and then went to the play room. They are going to be best friends forever!!

Jazz Game Date

It's not every day we get to have one on one with the kids, so this was so much fun. Braxton is doing Jr Jazz again this year and loves it. With the program they get Jazz tickets this year Braxton got 2 sets of them the first time he took dad and had a blast. The second set he decided to take me; it was so fun to have that one on one with him. Date night was fun with my little man.

Distant Learning school

This year instead of going through the K-12 program we found a Distant learning program that caters to home school kids and once a week they go to a school with all home school kids and do hands on learning. At first Kenzie was pretty nervous and had a hard time making friends it took her about 3 weeks to get used to it and make friends. Braxton on the other hand made friends the first day and now they both love it and enjoy going the full 5 hours. It is fun to see them grow and get the social interaction they needed and love.

Makenzie at 9

I am so ecstatic that Kenzie is 9. Its bitter sweet but I am so thankful that she is still here with us and happy and healthy. She defiantly has had her trials which is very scary but humbling all at the same time.
Life flashed before mt eyes and Kenzie is 9 already. I remember bringing her home from the hospital Christmas Day!!
She is such a bright, loving, cheerful young little lady who has come so far in her short life and I a excited to see what else she can accomplish.
This year she wanted a birthday party with her friends. We usually do it with family but she wanted something different this year. She invited 11 friends and they all showed up, Kenzie was so excited. We did a WINTER WONDERLAND PARTY, which turned out pretty good. She had everything planned out from making gingerbread houses, a photo booth, donut eating contest and pin the nose on a snowman. She had fun helping me make her cake and it turned out perfect for her party.
Since it was during dinner time we had pizza and man do girls eat, they devoured the pizza so fast I could barley cut the pizza with out them trying to eat my hand.
so guys don't say girls cant eat, they ate 2 family sized pizzas in a matter of minutes haha!
We gave her a karaoke machine since she loves to sing and it ended up being a hit they all played with it until the girls parents came to pick them up!
TOTAL SUCCESS

Happy New Years

I don't make New Years resolutions probably because I am horrible at keeping them and don't have the discipline either. I basically just try and live my life the best to my abilities and try to be the mom and wife I'm suppose to be. It isn't always easy but I am very content with who I am. There is always improvement of course, I'm not perfect but I do love my life and my family and each year I end up learning something new about myself without a resolution.
Every Year we spend New Years with Tylers siblings this year we went to Shontels house and played games had lots of food and did a little karaoke. It was laid back but its always fun to hang out with family!!!
